What is Self Sovereign Identity & Components
Self Soverign Identity

Its a framework for digital identity. DID and VC are components of this framworks
DID: Decentralised Idenitty
Unlike username which is created and owned by the apps,

DID are identifiers which users creates and associates with any app it wants. Completely in control of it

Verifiable Credentail

Schema

An digital idenitty which can be issued by trusted issuers to users but can be verified independently by verifier without connecting with issuer

Keeping users privacy protected

Verifiable Credrntials
(VCs) explained
There is a problem in the digital economy. Paper and PDFs are easy to fake. Verifying the authenticity of a document or certificate is slow and manual. And if you don't verify them, you risk fraud.

That's why world-class organisations use Verifiable Credentials to verify documents instantly. Verifiable Credentials are documents that contain a crypto signature: a permanent stamp that allows anyone to confirm you issued that credential. They are fraud- proof and verifiable with one click, creating instant trust between people and organisations in the digital economy.

Self-sovereign identity (SSI)
is an approach to digital identity that gives individuals control of their digital identities.

SSI addresses the difficulty of establishing trust in an interaction. In order to be trusted, one party in an interaction will present credentials to the other parties, and those relying parties can verify that the credentials came from an issuer that they trust. In this way, the verifier's trust in the issuer is transferred to the credential holder. This basic structure of SSI with three participants is sometimes called "the trust triangle".

Hypersign Network will Bring Self Sovereign Identity to Life based on 3 main pillars
01
Decentralized Identifiers
Decentralized identifier documents or DIDs are a type of identifier that enables a verifiable, decentralized digital identity. They are based on the Self-sovereign identity paradigm. A DID identifies any subject (e.g., a person, organization, thing, data model, abstract entity, etc.) that the controller of the DID decides that it identifies.

These identifiers are designed to enable the controller of a DID to prove control over it and to be implemented independently of any centralized registry, identity provider, or certificate authority. DIDs are URIs that associate a DID subject with a DID document allowing trustable interactions associated with that subject.
02
Verifiable Credentials
Verifiable credentials are an open standard for digital credentials. They can represent information found in physical credentials, such as a passport or license, as well as new things that have no physical equivalent, such as ownership of a bank account.
